The peerage and breaking all stereotypes, these Father Christmas impersonators had more than you'd expect in their sack. Please follow the link on my profile to read and hear the story, "Peerage and Santa: unique Christmas tales." Did you know The First Noël peaked at 62 on the South Korea International charts, and 19 on the US Hot Country Songs chart? The Salvo’s have it 1 at Central Station today, and thank God for the Salvo’s right now, we need it.
I was honoured this week to contribute as a Shark for Good in support of 10x10 Philanthropy and founder Laurence Marshbaum OAM raising $25,000 for emerging charities focussed on youth. Everyone throughout history was young once and needed a helping hand. In the 1920s the golden era of sport, Eric Frauenfelder was perhaps the greatest to ever play the game, several games. Follow the link on my profile for the story, "Cricket Ashes: extraordinary performances of a boxer and rugby league star." In 1934 Santa Claus was the most popular person in the room, but what the people didn’t know was that Santa that night had the cloud of death about him. Please follow the link on my profile for the story, "Dalby's Santa Claus fatalities." This week again on ABC Drive, producer Chris Calcino revisited my tale about the 1930's nude escapologist who strutted his stuff out of gaols across Queensland. Follow the link on my profile and look for the ABC Drive icon to hear the story. This week I'm also live on 4AK and West Bremer Radio. I was delighted to see my friends from Rotary Club of Kenmore, Australia, who with other Rotary clubs in the Brisbane western suburbs have been long-time supporters of @drug.arm. If you see them please always buy a ticket! I researched the history of Santa Claus impersonators in one small town and found some were a little eccentric and others noteworthy. Please follow the link on my profile for the story, "Meet Rosewood's legendary Santa Claus impersonators." The week I shared Santa Claus history on Darling Downs radio #4AK on Tuesday and on @westbremerradioipswich on Saturday, and this morning Santa was excited to catch up with me again. Merry Christmas to History Out There followers everywhere!
