Witnessing the @brisbanelions #ThreePeat was pretty good, and so too was being reminded at the airport what got us there! 🙂 When Brisbane Lions ran out onto the MCG they were not only about to create AFL history, but also recall it. Warren ("Luck of the Irish") and Annette ("Roar") were splashed across the screens of National Nine News last night, and this morning I managed to track them down in Melbourne live for @westbremerradioipswich Come back here tomorrow to read and hear this week's story live from the AFL Grand Final. Go Lions! I was the first to drape the 2026 AFL premiership cup in club colours when I claimed it on behalf of the Brisbane Lions back in July when the cup and I were on the Tiwi Islands. For the AFL grand final this weekend, go Lions! The rugby league heartland of Queensland’s Darling Downs has a surprising century-old link to an Australian Football League legend. Tomorrow it's the parade in Melbourne! The original Shakespeare Hotel in Barcaldine was built in 1886 after being transported over For a century this one family was engulfed in death and destruction.
