I loved sharing stories, signing books, and receiving an historic gift from the Ipswich Historical Society at the outstanding Cooneana Heritage Centre today. Thank you everyone for making me feel so welcome. You'd be hard pressed to find a better heritage centre anywhere!

Everyone loved the #HistoryOutThere merchandise at the Brookfield State School's 150th anniversary... member of @queenslandparliament @drchristianrowanmp, @westbremerradio listener Don McMillan, the coolest minister in the district Brookfield Uniting Church's Malcolm Scanlon, and even the @qldgovernor His Excellency the Honorable Paul de Jersey was keen to add a hat to his personal collection.
I metal detected around the school and was yesterday delighted to present a small treasure chest of artefacts stretching back 105 years to Shona who was the wonderful co-ordinator of the Brookfield State School’s 150 Years Celebration. An action photo of me was even included in the historical display in the original 1874 classroom. Thanks to @ramonks for crafting the box and to @minelabdetecting for providing an awesome #Vanquish metal detector as a prize. What a great day!
