Do you care that more than 2 men suicide every single day in Australia after consuming alcohol? Even small amounts of alcohol impair judgement, and despite these statistics, alcohol and gambling companies continue be allowed to leverage the otherwise healthy pursuit of sport to promote their product to our children. Yes children watch sport and yet there is no restriction on alcohol advertising. Sport doesn’t need alcohol to be successful, as proven by the Tiwi Islands football final which I attended recently. I’ve been to finals for the World Cup, European Cup, FA Cup, AFL, NRL, NBL, A-League, and yet the Tiwi Islands final was the best. It was also the healthiest because there was no alcohol that will inevitably harm our children, including those 2 men every, single, day. I’ve gone in search of the lost grave of Maggie McNeill who went droving through the Darling Downs in the 1880s. This is what I know so far and found this week. An amazing find while searching an Outback ghost town for the grave of Maggie McNeill lost since 1890. A rectangular, sunken patch of earth covered by rocks. Could this be Maggie? I'm in search of the lost grave of Maggie McNeill. In the late 1880s she went droving north to the Barcaldine region of Outback Queensland, in 1890 drank herself to death, was buried by the publican who then reportedly moved the hotel. The grave has been lost ever since. New information suggests a 1965 road redirection may have gone over the grave. I'm here to find it. He would have played much more if not for the 1936 raw deal. In 1890 Maggie drank herself to death, was buried by the publican, and then the pub got moved. I owe a debt to Maggie so feel I need to find her, my great-great grandaunt. Injune in Queensland’s Maranoa region hides this killer steam locomotive. In 1947 it derailed at Camp Mountain 20km north-west of Brisbane and killed 16 people. It therefore became responsible for what remains to this day Queensland’s worst rail disaster. He supported country life and put food on the table for his family during the most difficult of times, the Great Depression.
