Over 150 years ago the city of Ipswich, Queensland, claimed a previously unknown and remarkable piece of political history, his name was William Matson. Please follow the link on my profile for this amazing story, "The Former Slave Who Challenged Queensland Politics." Goondiwindi’s great chase occurred 91 years ago this week, and it all happened because of one false step. Please follow the link on my profile for the story, "The Goondiwindi False Step". We’ve graphically seen this week that AFL and alcohol don’t mix. Bad decision making, awful example for our kids, and fuel for over 50% of all reported domestic violence. Not here though at the Tiwi Islands footy grand final that I attended this year. Just passion, pride, and not a drop of alcohol. Please help Drug ARM drive such care and education for better choices, and safer families, by making your tax-deductible donation to my #TiwiIslandsHikeForHealth via the icon on my website by following my profile. Researching with the locals and finally I’ve uncovered a map that could lead me directly to the lost 1890 grave of my great-grandaunt Maggie McNeill. This is the story of the Ipswich girl who 162 years ago kissed a king, and if only things had turned out differently... Please follow the link on my profile for the story, "The Girl Who Kissed a King." Finally, I’ve discovered a perfectly aligned row of what appears to be 5 or 6 sunken grave sites. Maggie McNeill's outback grave lost since 1890, this could be it! This could be the discovery that finally solves the 1890 mystery of the lost grave of Maggie McNeill. Parched stones alone in the Outback. Could this finally be Maggie?
A Supreme Court judge's wife is gruesomely and deeply entrenched in Queensland history. Please Like, Share and Follow so that you get to see more remarkable stories like this. Follow the link on my profile for the story, "The Judge’s Wife Who Saw the Dead Rise." In a Queensland court case a century ago, a simple drover was convicted but the real perpetrators were never brought to justice.
